Reverse-geocoding a folder with GeoPlace
GeoPlace works best when the selected photographs already contain reliable GPS coordinates.
- Select a small test group of geotagged photographs.
- Review the available geographic and environmental sources.
- Run the lookup and inspect the proposed place information.
- Write the approved values to Lightroom metadata.
- Confirm that the expected IPTC fields, custom fields, and keyword hierarchy were updated before processing a larger folder.
Boundary and land-status data are cataloging context, not legal access guidance.
