Reverse-geocoding a folder with GeoPlace

GeoPlace works best when the selected photographs already contain reliable GPS coordinates.

  1. Select a small test group of geotagged photographs.
  2. Review the available geographic and environmental sources.
  3. Run the lookup and inspect the proposed place information.
  4. Write the approved values to Lightroom metadata.
  5. Confirm that the expected IPTC fields, custom fields, and keyword hierarchy were updated before processing a larger folder.

Boundary and land-status data are cataloging context, not legal access guidance.
